Distributed rendering

When the queue is thousands of tasks or more, one machine takes too long. Several Blender clients join the same project and pick up Pending tasks from one queue. Keep CMS open on one machine as the control node — the others only need Blender.

  1. 1Connect several Blender clients

Install the latest Add-on on every machine. Connect each Blender with the same Token and Project code. In CMS, open Blender clients and confirm every machine is online.

  2. 2Pick a control node

Keep at least one machine with both Blender and the CMS page open as the control node. That machine clicks Resume Rendering and watches progress. The other machines only need Blender running. Closing CMS on the control node mid-batch can stop the queue.

  3. 3Start the batch

On the control node, click Resume Rendering. Tasks go out to connected Blender clients. The CMS table on the control page updates each task’s status live. One queue — not a copy per machine.

  4. 4Stop and resume

One machine dropping off does not stop the others. Reconnect, then click Resume Rendering to continue unfinished tasks. The queue is already loaded.
